We recently tried 4 Rivers Smokehouse for takeout, and while it wasn’t as bad as it looks, it was still underwhelming overall. The biggest issue is the portion sizes—and also presentation. It looked like someone ate half of the items before we opened it.
Brisket: $20 for what looked like 2.5 small slices. It was on the chewy side, though there were a couple decent bites.
Pulled Pork: Just okay. Some parts were dry, others were heavily clumped with seasoning in a way that gave you a spoonful of seasoning.
Burnt Ends: Portion was tiny, like a sample cup.
Sandwiches: The brisket sandwich was okay- about half of the already small sandwich was fatty (I asked for lean and moist). The pulled pork sandwich was the best of the bunch and also happened to be the free item for spending over $25.
Sides: Mac and cheese tasted like boxed Kraft. The coleslaw was extremely watery; we actually had to drain it. Fries were the highlight—crispy, well-seasoned, and a solid portion.
Kids' Meal: Chicken tenders looked and tasted like frozen grocery store tenders. Not good, but edible if you’re hungry and your kids don’t care. It came with a small drink and a basic chocolate chip cookie.
Presentation & Ordering: Takeout presentation was sloppy and off-putting. They also don’t list meat portions by weight on the menu (no 1/2 lb. or 1 lb. indicators), which makes it hard to know how much you’re getting.
Bottom line: It might be better in person, but based on this experience, we wouldn’t go back. There are just too many better BBQ options nearby.

A Flavorful Barbecue Haven in Coral Springs!
After a day of errands, my boyfriend and I stumbled upon 4 Rivers Smokehouse in Coral Springs, and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be! From the moment we walked in, the enticing aroma of smoked barbecue had us both excited to dig in—it smelled amazing.
I ordered the signature angus brisket with creamy mac and cheese and their flavorful 4R BBQ beans. Every bite was bursting with rich, smoky goodness! My boyfriend opted for the burnt ends sandwich, and while the flavors were fantastic, we were a little puzzled by the delay in getting his food. The restaurant wasn’t busy at the time—there were only a couple of other people dining—so we couldn’t quite pinpoint the cause. Unfortunately, I was almost finished with my meal by the time his arrived, which was the one downside of our experience.
The setup of the restaurant was casual, resembling a fast-food-style establishment, but with a touch of charm. It was impeccably clean and looked brand new, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and accommodating, which helped smooth over the hiccup with timing.
Overall, the quality of the food truly stood out—each dish was expertly crafted and packed with bold, satisfying flavors. If you’re a barbecue lover like me, this place is absolutely worth a visit. Just keep in mind that service timing might be hit-or-miss, but the food is worth the wait!

I was blind sided by the stars. Here goes our experience, once we reached the front, the staff didn't acknowledge us for a bit. But once we placed our order, we headed to our table since the platters weren't ready. Once we received them, we were missing several items, and after our back and forth to the cashier, we started to dig in. Unfortunately, it got worse, the food was cold and undercooked and to top it off the humity inside was killer. The only thing that was enjoyable was the cornbread that I would rate a 5 out of 5 😋. But over all, I agree with previous reviews on the lack of quality and poor customer service. Please work on this.

Great staff and nice place but the food isn’t for everyone. Chicken is super sweet other things way too salty. I’ve had much better BBQ
