I came to the Coconut Creek Plaza to have a quick lunch at Johnny Pies. It was a nice, casual pizzeria offering a variety of NY pies, heros, soups & salads, starters, pasta dinners, and much more.
I greeted a pleasant male employee behind the counter and asked for a cheese slice. Toppings added is extra. I also grabbed a can of sprite out of the glass door display refrigerator. Within minutes of sitting at an available table, my cheese slice was brought to me.
This was a delicious slice; crispy thin crust, a nice layer of sauce and cheese, and don't get me started on that cheese pull...the true staple of a NY pie...wish I had a video taken of it. I definitely had a satisfying lunch at Johnny Pies. I look forward on returning to try other dishes soon.

As someone born and raised in the Bronx, with years spent in Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan, I know a thing or two about good pizza. My formative years were defined by the local pizza and bagel shops that dotted the streets of NYC. It’s a part of my DNA. Having moved to Florida, I've searched for a slice that could stand up to those memories, and I'm thrilled to say I've finally found it in Johnny Pies.
This isn't just a pizza place; it's an experience. Johnny Pies perfectly captures that unspoken, old-school Italian pizza joint environment I remember so well from my years in New York City. The atmosphere is welcoming, the music is perfect, and the people make you feel right at home. It's the kind of place that reminds you of your local neighborhood spot, no matter where you grew up in NYC.
While the heroes and entrees are what you'd expect from a great pizza place, the slice itself is what truly stands out. It is, without a doubt, the best slice of pizza in South Florida and a genuine reminder of the pizza I grew up on.
Dennis, the owner, is the consistent force that keeps this place true to its roots. His dedication is evident in every detail and is the reason Johnny Pies is an essential part of the South Florida food scene.

I can be very critical when it comes to my pizza. I long for that old-style pizzeria taste from my youth. No matter the claims, I am usually disappointed, but Johnny Pies Pizzeria delivered in a big way. The pizza crust was perfect and the wings were cooked to perfection. Chef was very cordial and focused on customer satisfaction. The cashier, maybe not so much!

Johnny Pies is hands down our favorite local pizza place. We always order from there and the customer service is always great. Today I needed a quick dinner and was craving chicken cutlets and figured they may make them for me even if they aren’t on the menu and I was right. I didn’t even wait 10 minutes before they had fresh crispy chicken cutlets ready for me. And I will always marvel at how nice everyone there is— something that sadly isn’t as common nowadays. Love love Johnny Pies!

This is definitely our local pizza spot. We love this place because their pizza and food are great. Nice serving sizes for Italian entrees, and prices are reasonable. Fresh ingredients. Real garlic, not that minced crap. Good guys here doing a good job No body does everything perfect, but if they screw up, they want to know what they can do to make it right. I feel like I'm back in New York when I come here. If it smells like New York pizza and it looks like New York pizza, then it must be Johnny pies New York pizza!
