Very traditional old school Vietnamese restaurant. Food taste authentic. Nothing fancy here. Older restaurant that needs upkeeping but their foods were delicious. It would be nice if they renovate and have more lights. Their prices are same like the fancy places. Expect that the staffs yell across the restaurant in Vietnamese the entire time you are there. It's normal atmosphere when it's during busy time.
OMG, this Spicy Beef Noodle Soup was the best I've ever had. It seems to be better each time, as with all the other menu items I enjoy there. They have a real authentic handle on their cuisine. I absolutely love Pho Gia Vi. I've been going there for the past six years since I moved here from Guam 🇬🇺 definitely recommend
We ordered the clams, which were incredibly flavorful with a fragrant basil aroma—the broth was so good we wanted to drink every last drop. The Vietnamese spring rolls with pork skin had a rich flavor, likely from the boiled and shredded pork skin, offering a unique taste. The fried spring rolls had an exceptionally crispy shell and were so tasty on their own that they didn’t even need dipping sauce. A must-try is the Filet Mignon with red wine sauce over rice. The beef was incredibly tender, and even the potatoes were delicious. The pickled cabbage added a crunchy, sweet, and tangy kick, and when paired with fried rice, it was even more impressive than the pho! I ordered the Bún bò Huế, a spicy beef noodle soup from Huế, which was flavorful with just the right amount of spice. My boyfriend tried the Bún riêu, a crab cake noodle soup in a tomato-based broth. It leaned toward the sweeter side but was packed with flavor. The restaurant is small and quiet, and the food is fantastic—I highly recommend it!

I ordered the rare steak and brisket pho with the egg roles! The broth was super flavourful but the meat was a bit too fatty for my liking. The egg roles weren’t the best, could have used an extra 2 mins in the deep fryer maybe!
