Stopped by Spanky’s Cheesesteak and had to come back and leave this. I’ve also tried Burger Stop, which claims they have the best cheesesteak in South Florida… and that’s just not true. Spanky’s cheesesteak absolutely smokes it. Simple, no gimmicks, but the flavor is on point, perfectly cooked meat, great bread, and everything just works together. Sometimes the best food doesn’t need to look fancy, it just needs to taste right, and this does. If you actually care about flavor and not hype, this is the spot. Easily one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve had down here. 🔥🥩🥖
Ordered “hot” wings expecting the usual fake tough-guy spice. Nope. These things actually brought the heat AND tasted amazing. Rare combo. Crispy wings, perfect sauce, and just enough spice to make me rethink my confidence halfway through the basket. Cole was fantastic too. Super attentive, quick service, and somehow always appeared right when we needed something like a wing-serving ninja. Definitely coming back. Possibly with extra napkins and emotional support….
I have been coming to spankys for over 20 years , the food and service is always great . Unfortunately this specific time I come home to Florida me whole service was completely trash ! I asked for the margate wrap like always with extra cheese , I notice that it wasn’t extra cheese so I told the waitress the waitress told the “manager “ and all he did was slap a piece a cheese on it . Horrible service and then he didn’t even come speak to us and apologize we had to ask for him serval times and he said “I’m cooking his name is Johnny
The food was pretty good conceptually it was a decent portion however, when I finish my sandwich, I was still kind of hungry. I’m used to northern cheesecakes which are kind of heavy and the meat sits deep in the bread versus on top. Don’t get me wrong the taste was great. The preparation was good. Everything was fresh. It just wasn’t as heavy as I thought it should be for the cost again. I can get a cheesecake in the north east.
Wow...this was my first time visiting Spanky's and the young man and girl treated me so well....the young lady also offered me a free drink...she went above and beyond without even trying. The cheesesteak is delish...my wife ate my sandwich as soon as she saw it..lol...I love the old fashion look of the place....come check them out! You won't be disappointed!!
