I brought a friend to toojay's. Her first time. This was my first time at the walk location. Our server, Luz, was absolutely excellent. We asked for hot water with lemon. She brought ice water as well. She gave us enough lemons for both the hot and cold water. Luz, was very responsive, professional and pleasant

This was our first time at TooJay’s and we’ll definitely be back! The menu was extensive, the food was delicious, and I really had a hard time picking a meal because everything looked amazing. I ended up ordering the Reuben and it was huge, which meant I got to eat the other half the next day. We also got the pastrami obeyed and it was fantastic, too. Sides were French fries and coleslaw, both hot and cold respectively. Loved the pickle with the sandwich. Just Go! You won’t be disappointed.

Used to love coming here years ago, but since they got bought out, quality in food and service has lacked. Glad they were able to restructure after Covid though. Ordered loaded potato latkes, and not so latke, did not se any shredded pieces. Tongue and pastrami sandwich was ok - but what happened to all the pastry in the front display cabinet?

It has been a few years since we have been here and we are glad we gave it another shot. There was 5 of us and we had the pastrami on rye, Reuben (2), choose two (pastrami sandwich and strawberry citrus salad) and the potato pancakes. Everything was fresh and delicious. Our server Elliot, was very friendly and super attentive . Great customer service. We will definitely be back.

I had the lean corned beef platter - Excellent!! Generous portion, & a nice variety of sides. Very good iced teas as well. Service was great and didn't feel at all rushed or 'hovered over.' Tables were nicely spaced apart, too. Highly recommend 👌 !!! Update/New entry: This visit I got carryout - the soup & 1/2-sandwich combo, and a couple of sides to take home for later. I got their beef & cabbage soup - delicious, and Very filling - I highly recommend it! I do have to make a comment about the corned beef. I used to order this because it had not a bit of untrimmed fat on it, but that has changed now. The slices of meat are a great deal thinner and every slice has more fat attached than I want to eat. Since prices went up, I know of many restaurants that have modified selections and/or servings. And I'm not singling out any 1 location, because this is the 2nd location (within about 2 months) where I've experienced exactly the same thing. I will continue to frequent Toojay's, as there are great deal of very tempting dishes here that I've yet to try!!
