2.5-Star Review for M&W Caribbean
Let me start by saying I live for their soups—absolutely A-1, and the main reason I keep coming back! The flavor is always on point, and it’s easily the best thing on the menu (at least from what I’ve tried).
That said, I can’t really vouch for the rest of the food since I’ve mostly stuck to what I know is good. Friends have told me the other dishes are hit or miss, but honestly, the slow service keeps me from branching out. Even when there’s barely anyone in line, it moves at a snail’s pace—like they’re moving in slow motion.
The atmosphere is okay—nothing special, but not terrible either. If I’m craving Caribbean food, though, this isn’t my first choice unless I’m specifically in the mood for their soup. For now, I’ll keep showing up for that, but they’ve got some room for improvement everywhere else.

The staff serving is elder so wait times is outrageous, could only be 2 people in line and the wait is so long. I only come here on Thursday for the red peas soup because that’s the only thing tasty from here. The oxtail had no taste to me not even the cabbage had seasoning everything else besides the red peas soup resembled nursing home food. Meat portions are SMALL. friendly staff but need younger folks in the front to speed things up, you’ll use your whole lunch break waiting to be served.

No So Jerked
This eatery is an occasional go to as the food has an old time Jamaican taste to it and friendly atmosphere. 👍🏾
Last evening I decided to try the jerk chicken and pork only to buy left disappointed.
It was very spicy and salty.
My children played with the chicken and left it. I tried the pork but could not finish it as it was high in sodium and pepper but not having that jerky flavor with the right amount of heat.
As a Caribbean culture we should try to use less salt in our foods as it's not healthy to consume too much.
The above pictures were taken this morning as I'm about to discard the food. 😔
Buyer beware - Try before you buy.
The one star 🌟 is for the food only.

It may not look like much on the outside, but the food is DELICIOUS! I got a large oxtail dinner, with rice and peas and lots of steamed cabbage. That was some of the best oxtail I’ve ever had. The food is fresh. The inside is clean. The staff was extremely friendly, and they adhered to the guidelines with their face masks and gloves.
The cake is very moist!!!
I will be back!!

This is my first and most definitely my last time buying food..more like scraps. I ordered a large oxtail with rice and peas. When I saw the plate I had to ask if this was a large, I was very disappointed in the portion for a large, the presentation and I got white rice with green peas..what the hell is that kmt. $20+ Dollars for nothing. Dem nuh have nothing pon Dutch Pot and Donnas.
